Hosted in early February, the event brought together local supporters, business sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders for an evening that celebrated kindness in action.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7560\" data-end=\"7962\">Guests arrived dressed to impress, but the energy was warm and welcoming \u2014 more family than formal. Tables were decorated with symbolic centerpieces: elegant handbags overflowing with flowers, representing both beauty and resilience. Throughout the evening, guests were reminded why the mission matters \u2014 that every donation, every purse, and every note of encouragement changes a real person\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7964\" data-end=\"8346\">The event included a silent auction, live music, and heartfelt testimonies from recipients and volunteers. One woman shared how receiving a purse gave her courage during her transition out of homelessness. Another volunteer spoke about how her experience packing purses reconnected her with her community and gave her new meaning in retirement. There wasn\u2019t a dry eye in the room.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"8348\" data-end=\"8544\">By the end of the night, the results spoke for themselves. We raised more funds than any previous event, expanded our donor base, and connected with new community partners eager to help us grow.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"8546\" data-end=\"8585\">Highlights from the evening included:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"8586\" data-end=\"8820\">\n<li data-start=\"8586\" data-end=\"8630\">\n<p data-start=\"8588\" data-end=\"8630\">Over 200 attendees from across the state<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"8631\" data-end=\"8700\">\n<p data-start=\"8633\" data-end=\"8700\">Thousands raised in donations, sponsorships, and auction proceeds<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"8701\" data-end=\"8759\">\n<p data-start=\"8703\" data-end=\"8759\">Dozens of new volunteers signed up for upcoming drives<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"8760\" data-end=\"8820\">\n<p data-start=\"8762\" data-end=\"8820\">Moving speeches from survivors and partner organizations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"8822\" data-end=\"9119\">The fundraiser wasn\u2019t just about raising money \u2014 it was about celebrating progress and recognizing the collective power of giving.
